In summer 2021, the EDC sponsored a visit from CT Mrs Agriculture 2021 to four Portland Farms to promote and support local agriculture during CT Farm Week at the start of the harvest season.
In February 2020, the EDC sponsored a program entitled, "Farm Summit: How We Grow Matters" to promote farms and discuss ways to support Portland's Agricultural Community.
